After working two years on an agriculture project in the Celaque Mountains of Western Honduras, the Wards came to Loma de Luz as resident agriculture missionaries to manage the hospital's many acres of valuable crops that will help provide the financial resources the hospital uses to minister to the needs of the many people in the area who do not have access to medical care.  They also work in the surrounding villages with subsistence farm families, promoting sustainable agriculture practices to help them transform their communities into more self sufficient and healthy places.  Their two daughters, Sydney (8/8/95) and Sammey (5/18/99) are with them. Their motivation for life and serving as missionaries is summed up in their own words, “We love Jesus and love sharing the good news of life and hope found in Him.”
